Description

 For sale this rare Chinese Teapoy, grisaille decorated with a European interior scene, circa 1745. Standing approx. 10cm tall, it is decorated with a rare European scene of two female figures washing in an interior, picked out in grisaille, iron red and gilt. The reverse with floral sprigs. The base with moulded scrolls picked out in gilt. Good unrestored condition. Slight glaze loss to extremities. Neck with one faint hairline approx. 7mm in length.    Note it is rare to find items of this type decorated showing a day to day purely domestic scene.  Price  £395.00 inclusive of sending to within the UK.
