Beautiful English Victorian Sterling Silver Trinket Box - Gilded Interior

Description

A stunning and pretty oval shaped trinket box made from sterling silver and hallmarked Birmingham 1887, making this a true Victorian example. The makers initials are also present A.W.P for the silversmith, A W Pennington.

The hinged, domed lid is a riot of repousse decoration with a central cartouche which could be engraved with initials or a date if desired.

The hinge is in perfect working order and the interior a real joy, beautifully finished in gold.

Superb condition, measuring 3 5/8" x 1 7/8" x 1 1/2" tall.
