Antique Balloon Back Simulated Rosewood Single Bedroom Chair.

A single charming chair.

We bring to you this Victorian (C1880) bedroom/dining chair in an amazing original condition. This chair is made from Beech wood with a simulated rosewood effect which was hand painted onto the chair, the effect is very convincing and was popular at the time. This chair features a lovely balloon shaped back, upholstered seat with studs which descends to turned front legs and stretcher rails. The chair was likely originally caned seated but currently has a fully upholstered seat in a pink fleur de lys design damask material which is in clean condition.

This chair has a lovely original polish with a lightly faded colour and lots of patina which we have sympathetically restored and carefully waxed in our workshop. The chair is solid and has no loose joints or breaks and is free from woodworm.
