Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the 1900s.
A lovely Art Nouveau coal Purdonium fireside cabinet, ideal for open fires.

This well-made cabinet features a solid brass polished dropper handle, moulded edges, reeded door frame and is complete with a floral carved panelled cabinet door in the Art Nouveau style. This simple but elegant purdonium features a lovely rich walnut colour with the original polish and patina. This cabinet comes complete with the original metal lift out coal carry liner (which is unusually in almost perfect condition with no rot) making it ideal for neat mess-free storage of coal or kindling. This fantastic-looking cabinet is also an ideal side, lamp or occasional table as it has quite a small form and is very ornate.

We have sympathetically restored this item maintaining original patina by just carefully waxing this item to enhance the French polished surface and preserve it for many years to come.
Please note this item is in very good condition for its age but will have the odd blemish here and there, however, we feel that adds to the charm of the item with it being an antique.
