The base is of a stunning specimen brown onyx, accented with green, signed to the front right corner.
The lozenge shaped dial is matted silvered brass, screen printed with numerals and with square formed blued steel hands. It is signed for the retailer E. Bourgedi, Doudeville. The bezel is chrome plated and has it's original convex glass.
The French movement is of excellent quality. It is a traditional 'Pendule de Paris' movement with a pendulum. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled and tested by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock. please ask and we will send a link.
Condition of the case is excellent, The figures have a good original patination with only minor wear. Her early plastic hands and head are in excellent condition and have mellowed in colour, one hand more than the other. The Onyx is in excellent condition with a superb polish. There are some minor nibbles to the edges and a slight chip to the front left hand foot. The dial is also in excellent condition with some slight wear and marks.
