Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It is made from painted pine, which has acquired the most beautiful patina over the years.
This is nicely made and in good structural condition. It sits on casters, and the metal handles have been replaced at some point over the years. There is just one extremely minor bit of damage to the beading on the very lower front edge, barely noticeable but seen in the close up images.
