~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A fine, early antique French clock by Hatton of Paris.
The porcelain has a Bleu Celeste ground with delicately painted flowers and an exotic bird. To the top is a motif of cupid, a flaming torché and a quiver of arrows.

The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with blue lettering and beautifully fretted gilt brass hands and convex glass. It is signed for the retailer / maker Hatton of Paris. The rear door is also glazed with convex glass to allow the movement to be seen. Unusually the case is also marked with the movement serial number along with the pendulum.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running, please ask and we will send you a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, the gilding is beautifully clean and bright with some occasional discolouration and some slight wear mainly to the rear of the case where the gilding was originally not as thickly applied. The porcelain is in excellent condition. The dial is also in excellent condition with no damage.

Hatton of Paris retailers signature on the movement backplate.
