Description

A good Old Sheffield Plated lidded serving tureen with removable handle. The piece is of good heavy quality and dates to the early 19th Century. Crested with the name 'Conflict' in a belt motif, this is possibly for HMS Conflict, of which there were three vessels named such in 1801, 1805 and 1812, which fits the date of this piece.

In good condition with some surface wear especially to interior due to usage as is to be expected.
