Description

Unusual late 19th.c. satinwood combination wardrobe and chest of drawers c.1880. Ideal as a hall piece perhaps. Single door wardrobe with a full length dressing mirror, fitted inside with a brass hanging rail and hooks. To the right of the wardrobe is chest of two short and three long drawers below a two door cabinet, a useful table surface and an open display shelf. Sparkling satinwood veneers across the piece with crisp carved and moulded detail. Note the acanthus detail to the corners of the gadrooned cornice and the turned gallery and supports to the open shelf. Retaining the original brass handles and maker’s label for the Liverpool cabinet maker’s Urquhart & Adamson. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.

Splits into two sections plus cornice and plith for delivery.
