Unusually the ‘thumb’ moulded-edge top being completely removable and fixed to the base by use of patent-style brass clip fixings and bolts. These unusual and scarce features allowing both for ease of transportation and movement.

Complete with two original leaves and all original brass ‘fork’ clip fittings , the whole table of an excellent grade of figured mahogany with a good original surface and having achieved a wonderful colour and patina.

The ends of the table having subtle shaped friezes designed for both aesthetic and practical purposes , whilst the frame of the surround has a decorative reeded moulding around the lower edge .
A highly versatile , functional and elegant table with a broad over-hanging top to the frame when opened ,allowing good comfort and leg room to seated diners , which would accommodate 8-10 persons.
Can be used as a fully-closed table or extended using either one or both of the extension leaves to suit purpose.
