Digby Antiques (Wiltshire) has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The end of the silver handle pulls out to reveal an extending silver dip pen.
The other end of the pen is a penwipe.
This is in virtually mint condition as it would appear to never have been used. It has been polished over the years as the makers mark is rubbed.

Marked for London 1903 and possibly made by the silversmiths Wilson & Gill.
The box is in reasonable shape.
The pen also carries a registered design number 368290
