Victorian 18ct Gold Mizpah Ring

Description

This solid yellow gold band is a lovely example of a handmade Victorian Mizpah ring, with beautiful crisp detailing.

Mizpah jewellery was a token of good luck and historically given as a gift to (or from) a soldier leaving for war as a symbol of emotional attachment between sweethearts. It is also a Hebrew leaving salutation.

The inside of the ring is stamped 18CT.

Size: 6 (US), L and a half (UK). The band is 4mm wide at the back, rising to 6mm at the front.

Weight: 3.1g.
