An elegant George V era mahogany bow front chest of four drawers, dating to c1920, following the style of early 19thc Georgian furniture. This type of chest is known as a bachelor’s chest due to its neat proportions. The maker has used fiddle pattern mahogany to create an interesting effect. The drawers are mahogany lined, indicative of quality, along with a reeded edge to the top, outswept feet and matching brass handles. The top of the chest overreaches the back, a thoughtful touch enabling the chest to sit in front of the floor skirting while sitting flat against the wall. In very condition, with excellent warm colour and effect.
