This fantastic large wire work bread basket is of high quality and has very elegant lines. Dating to c1880, the piece is unmarked, but from its design, the piece may be French. The central portion is particularly detailed, with an embossed shell design. The basket has a substantial handle and sits well on four ball feet.

In very good condition with only minor signs of wear.
