Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this absolutely sublime mid-18th century circa 1760 solid Yew wood Windsor stick back armchair.

If you are looking at this listing then the chances are you know what this chair is, how rare the timber is and how collectable… it is! I have never seen another this early with this colour, it truly is a work of art.
The lines and form are sublime, the seat exceptionally comfortable, I can see why this has survived so long, anything this aesthetically appealing that’s extremely comfortable to live with would be well looked after.
We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there is one old repair to the back, otherwise it looks to be all original timber without breakages.
