We are delighted to offer this magnificent pair of solid silver candlesticks made circa 1890 (Continental Origin).

The pair features a beautifully shaped tiered design with a widened base, a finely decorated column and a bud-shaped capital at the top.

The entity of the candlestick is profusely embellished with foliate and natural motifs.

The intricate of the craftsmanship is impressive indeed with Cellini style decorations, accented by the usage of parcel gilding (partly gilded with other areas left silver, hence creating further visual depth and contrast of silver/grey/gold tones).

The pair's decorative nature would grace a luxurious interior setting or collection for both ornamental purposes or practical usage. The pair are capable of holding modern standard size candles.

An excellent addition to add a highlighting decorative piece of fine silverware or as part of an existing ornate collection.

CONDITION

Great Condition - The pair is in great antique condition with no major damage or issues. For accuracy, there is some wobble on both bases and thus are a little unstable if moved, however, they will stand on a steady surface with no issues otherwise. The parcel gilding is slightly worn on some high points due to its age.
