In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
It is clearly hallmarked on the base for London, 1723 and the maker Thomas Bamford. The neck also has the maker's mark T.B.
It is in good condition for its age and has been gently cleaned and polished. There are some faint surface marks, a small dent on the bottom part (see photo) and there are some subtle old silver solder repairs to minor damages to the pierced top (see photos) but overall it displays beautifully.
