Philip Carrol Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The reverses painted with a cottage, and a river scene. All on a cobalt blue ground, elaborately gilded with insects flying amongst flowering plants.

Both vases with large gilt handles, and set upon circular pedestal feet, with a continuous moulded and gilded leaf motif, within a beaded rim. The necks moulded with acanthus leaves, edged in gilt. Surmounted by domed covers, with large gilt teardrop finials.
Printed iron red factory marks to both bases.
Height: 37 cm, 14 1/2”.
Width: 17 cm, 6 5/8”.
Depth: 13.5 cm, 5 1/4”.
Condition: Excellent condition. No damage. No restoration.
