Description

A fine quality wall mounted brass bell in good condition.

It was most likely a ship's bell, and it still has the original clapper with replacement fittings to secure it - see photo 6.

The bell itself measures 20cm to the top of the fitting, and the base is 19cm in diameter. The arm to the wall fitting is approximately 20cm in length and the fitting itself is 10cm x 6.5cm with four ready drilled holes.

The whole item weighs 3.8kgs and there are no signs of repair or damage. It has been lightly polished but not lacquered.
