A good Victorian figured walnut inlaid 2 door bookcase. The rectangular shaped top having book matched figured walnut with a moulded edge and rounded corners. The frieze with inlaid boxwood decoration and ormolu beading. Below are 2 glazed doors with boxwood stringing, ormolu beading, ornate escutcheons and closing strip. The doors open to reveal a walnut faced shelf and fabric lined interior and complete with working lock and key. The rounded corners having good ormolu mounts and further inlaid decoration, the whole raised on a shaped plinth base. Dimensions:- Height…41.5’’/ 105.5cm. Width…41.5’’/ 105.5cm.
