I don't buy many Persian city rugs as I just don't like them but occasionally one comes along that changes the rules, and here it is. Although rather worn and with some not great old repairs this noble old carpet has a rather fantastic 'look' due to its remarkably soft colour palette. Delicate shades of pale olive, pale brown sit comfortably on lashings of cream. Not a single knot of dark blue, bright red or anything to disturb the simple serenity. An excellent decorative carpet which will bring style and charm to your home without causing offence. A masterclass in understatement.
