Wonderful Set Three Antique English Wine or Champagne Bottle Holders C.1880

Description

Dating to the Victorian era, this a grand and imposing set of three bottle holders, one larger one standing on ornate legs and two smaller ones for slimmer bottles or perhaps half bottles of desert wine.

The larger one is perfect for Champagne and is beautifully decorated with a heavy cast ornate floral and foliate rim. The sides are beautiful pierced or reticulated and finished with a decorative garland around with each swag meeting at a lion's head.

An outstanding and quite imposing set ready to grace your tabletop. Excellent condition, minor wear to plate, insignificant but mentioned for accuracy.

The larger holder measures 5 3/4" tall with the rim diameter measuring 7", the bottle opening measuring 5" in diameter. The two smaller stands measure 4" tall with a rim diameter measuring 4 1/2" and the bottle opening, 3 1/4" in diameter.
