This attractive VICTORIAN MAJOLICA SARDINE BOX, designed to look like a casket with ornate fish feet and a swan handle to the lid, dates from circa 1880. There is a painted number 24 to the base.
The BOX is a rich cobalt blue with high glaze.
There is some minor restoration but no major damage.
