Early C19th Regency period black lacquered papier-m�ch� rectangular tray with gilded Chinoiserie decoration.Striking black and gilt papier-m�ch� tray of good large scale decorated with fantastical Chinoiserie decoration featuring Phoenix or Ho-ho birds , moths , butterflies , ivy-leaf and blossom . In excellent original with only minor historic chips to edges. The gilding in excellent condition with a bright hue and minimal loss or rubbing.
