Antique Waltham full hunter pocket watch, 1919.

The watch has a good quality 15-jewel 620 grade movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed, has beautifully patterned plates and a Church 1892 patent regulator. The serial number, 22,741,214, dates it back to 1919. The movement is protected by an inner dust cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold filled Moon model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, supplier of most of the cases for Waltham UK. The Moon model was originally guaranteed ‘to wear 20 years’ and it is still in good condition with just general light surface marks.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is a later acrylic lens which is in good condition.

The signed dial has blued steel hands, a slightly sunken subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. There are a few hairline cracks radiating from a point on the sub seconds dial but they are faint, and most are barely visible to the naked eye.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
