Miniature Walnut Secretaire on Chest C.1820.

Description

A very rare miniature piece of furniture in the manner of the mid 18th century, created in the early 19th century. Veneered in beautiful walnut and craftsman built, this is a fine and useful item. Excellent colour and patina.

Apart from being extremely decorative it could function as a spice cabinet, or, as its previous owner used it, to contain her needlework cottons and equipment.

DIMENSIONS: 32.25 inches tall, 16.5 inches wide, 10.25 inches deep.

PROVENANCE: Gloucestershire Private Collection.
