Description

A shining golden good luck token - perfect as a special occasion gift or for a day at the races! Rendered in 18-carat gold and studded with (lucky) seven old hand-cut diamonds, each on average 2.5mm - at a rough calculation around half a carat of sparkling white diamonds. This is a particularly nicely made example, with a finely pierced gallery around the edge.

Dating from the late Victorian to Edwardian period (around the turn of the 20th century), the brooch is stamped with a partial French owl hallmark (in use since 1893) on the clasp.

In good antique condition with clasp and hinge in working order. There would originally have been a safety chain which is no longer present.
