A wonderful large commemorative presentation trowel made from silver plate with a chunky and shiny piece of Ivory carved into a tactile handle.

What makes this one stand out and highly collectible is the horse's head, perfect for equestrian collector.

The central cartouche in the centre of the trowel is engraved "Presented To Isaac Wilson Esq. On The Occasion Of Laying The Foundation Stone Of The New Congressional Chapel Middlesbro March 25 1856".

A stunning piece in superb condition, measuring 13 1/2" in length.
