Wilmot Pilsbury RBSA, RWS 1840-1908.Painter of landscape and domestic genre.Born in Dorking,SurreyStudied at Birmingham School of Art and South Kensington Schools;pupil of J.W.Walker..Became Headmaster of the Leicester School of Art.Exhibited 68 works at the Fine Art Society,39 at the Royal Society of Artists ,Birmingham,6 at RA but mainly at RWS where he showed 250 works.A memorial exhibition of his works was held at the Fine Art Society in 1908. ‘Harvest at Dusk’ signed watercolour dated 1908;image size 17.5 x27.5 cms, framed size 37x46.5 cms; provenance ;with Richard Hagen Ltd,Broadway,Worcs.
