The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
Gents bumper automatic Omega wrist watch, 1949.
The watch has a calibre 351 17-jewel bumper automatic movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 11,876,557 dates it to around 1949.
Later automatic watches have the fully rotational rotor. As with the majority of bumper automatics, you do feel the sensation of the bumping which is not unpleasant, just something to be aware of.

The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the handsomely shaped lugs, so a good wearable size, especially for a watch of its age. The case is stainless steel and it is in very nice condition. The inside of the case back is signed with the Omega logo and the case reference 2446-1 which is correct for the 351 movement.

The lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial was re-finished some time ago by the looks of it. Replacement hands and seconds sweep.
A later leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
