Antique Georgian Mahogany Chest of Drawers

18th century
Description

An excellent antique George III period bow front chest of drawers in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1790-1810 period.

It is of fine quality and has a lovely design, it sits on splayed bracket feet and has wonderful original brass handles. There is a brushing slide that comes out from just beneath the top, and the top has a cross banded rosewood edge.

We have just had this re-polished, it is in lovely condition for its age. There are various small marks and indentations beneath the polish, this has acquired a beautiful patina over the last 200 years & has loads of character.

Depth – 20 inches , 51 cm

Height – 32 inches , 82 cm
