A Superb 12 Drawer Mahogany Collectors Cabinet. James Tennent. Circa 1860.

Description

A superb mineral or shell cabinet by james tennent born 1808- died 1881. Supplier of fossils, shells and minerals to her majesty queen victoria.

This excellent 12 drawer cabinet with superb provenance still contains the original trade label of james tennent, a very well known and highly qualified and respected minerologist during queen victoria's reign.

The top 7 drawers have an internal usable depth of one inch and the remaining 5 drawers a usable depth of 1.5 inches. This cabinet will lend itself to a multitude of collecting purposes. Fashioned in rich mahogany and with lock and key.

Width. 15 inches.

Front to back. 11.75 inches.

An excellent and highly versatile cabinet. Delivery can be arranged and collection from our showrooms in the beautiful village of hartland encouraged perhaps with a stay in the area combining a break and collection.
