A superb classical grand tour bronze inkwell of exceptional quality. Around the circumference of the dish are 16 bronze medallions showing Roman busts. The inkpot itself depicts a warrior wrestling with an animal possibly a goat. Around the top of the inkwell are 4 female bronze busts and a pineapple finial on top all on a wood base possibly later Circa 1840
