A Stunning 19th century French bronze sculpture of a stag, signed in the bronze J.E.MASSON. 1871-1932 and with its foundry stamp, as seen in the images attached. This bronze is in excellent condition with wonderful detail and lovely patination. A very impressive size.

J.E.Masson 1871 - 1932

Jules Edmond Masson was the son of Clovis Masson, who was also a renowned sculptor and a pupil of Bayre.

J.E.Masson specialised in the depiction of animals as well as equestrian monuments.

This bronze sculpture measures:
