Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
A rare set of Victorian Louis Philippe French chairs, ideal for a collector or museum.
Featuring a spectacular finely carved back frame around a padded centre, serpentine front rail with a moulded edge, fully upholstered sprung seat which finishes to typical French cabriole carved legs with original brass castors on Ebony wood wheels to the front legs.

Although we are restorers and could restore these chairs, we have left them in the original condition because they feature the original individual scene tapestries to the seats and backs, making them very unique and rare.

Please note, the material is brittle and not in good condition. The tapestry is very worn in more than one place and showing the original horse hair stuffing which can still be used and preserved on restoration.

The inner padding is original, is not in good condition and they are not suitable to be used as they are but are ideal for display.
The chairs solid Rosewood frames are in near perfect condition with no breaks or joint movement. The original french polished finish is also in a lovely condition with few blemishes.

We feel these chairs are a true time warp and are ideal for a stately home, museum or a collector of unrestored untouched unique antiques.
We could restore these chairs for you if you require, enquire about this option.
