The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement, stamped Made in England, which is working nicely.
Unusually, the case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1955 with a case maker’s mark for the Birmingham based Dennison Watch Case Company.

The case has some small “dings” and marks, nothing too serious at all. Many of these watches were engraved but this one is free from any inscriptions.
The lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish, which has darkened a little with age, with original blued steel hands, sunken subsidiary seconds dial with concentric circles and inner minute markers.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
