Georgian Mahogany Twin Canister Tea Caddy.
A superb example of a Georgian Mahogany Tea Caddy dating back to c.1815. The tea caddy is cross banded in rosewood. It has a brass carrying handle to the top. The key is just for decoration and doesn’t work the lock.
The box houses it’s original red velvet interior to the back of the inside lid. It has a cut glass liner to the the centre with a crack which has been repaired. Twin mahogany tea canisters cross banded in rosewood sit either side the glass liner.
A superb tea caddy. It measures 31x16 and stands 16cm high.
