I love the colours overall but also in the two side columns with alternating mid and light indigo-blues, madder-red and golden yellow - stunning! The outer border has, what appears to be, arrow-heads, probably protecting the inner field from evil spirits.
Made around 1850 - could be slightly earlier - by Ersary Turkmen living in the middle Amu Darya region. Just superb and at least I can look at the photo and drool!
Size: 1.60m x 1.32m (5' 3" x 4' 4").
