Description

A most attractive early rug of the Baluch nomads of Khorassan, north-east Persia, made circa 1870. The overall condition is very good and an old 23cm (9") old re-weave in the centre-right has been well improved. The brown dye has mordant corrosion, which is expected in most Baluch rugs and weavings of this age. Nevertheless, this is a very handsome and collectible rug.
