Large Chinese Marble Top Wine Table C.1890

Description

Unusually large late 19th.c. Chinese padauk wood and marble top two tier side table or urn stand c.1890. 16½” rose marble top within a border carved with branches of cherry blossom and an interesting repeated detail around the edge. Over a carved and pierced apron and raised on shaped legs carved with stylized dragon’s heads at the tops, floral deatil and ending in ball and claw feet. Lower shelf with a raised edge and fine carved and pierced frieze below. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
