N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
This wonderful bronze depicts ever detail beautifully and even shows his trodden down shoes sat beside the carpet. The paintwork then matches the exceptional quality of the casting and finishes the bronze with a beautiful lifelikeness.
The bronze is then signed to the bottom corner “Nem-Greb” as well as the “B” in a vase mark to show that this is an original Bergman piece.
