N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The case then has an array of beautiful bronze ormolu mounts including a fantastic finial to the top and four lovely shaped feet.

The dial is then enamel and set out in black Roman numerals with Arabic numerals marking the minutes. The dial is then mark “V. Depose” to the bottom. It is then finished by two lovely shaped hands as well as a wonderful domed, and bevelled glass set into a brass bezel.

The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. It ticks away and chimes as it should, once on the half past and the number of hours on the hour, via a gong. The movement is then stamped for the maker Marti. Comes complete with its pendulum and winding key.
It measures approximately:
16” / 41cm Tall.
7.5” / 19cm Wide.
5” / 12.75cm Deep.
