Description

A particularly nice set of four similar 19th century spindle back penny chairs. The penny chairs have solid elm circular penny seats with an attractive grain pattern and are raised on four turned legs with double stretcher supports. Boasting a rich colour and patina throughout, these good quality and sturdy chairs are perfect for dining and daily use. Although not an exact match, with one chair slightly varying in design, they make a great set of four.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. There is surface wear in places including age related marks to the seats (pictured). The four penny chairs remaining structurally solid and sound with good tight joints.
