/ By Appointment to H.R.H. The Prince of Wales".

The box is made from stunning Satinwood with a sloped front inlaid with a central tablet of Mother of Pearl complimenting the Nacre shell escutcheon (alas, no key). The interior edges are finished in exotic Coromandel wood.

There are four dividers covered in an aqua coloured marble paper and the front section has a Satinwood lidded compartment topped with a turned Ivory knob.
The wonderful thing about this box is it's size (unlike many other period examples) being large enough to accommodate modern day (larger stationery).
Wonderful condition with a glossy sheen, measuring 10 5/8" wide x 7" deep x 9" tall at rear.
