Description

Just returned from our silversmith's workshop where this stylish Art Deco cocktail shaker has been professionally cleaned and polished, restoring it to it's former glory.

It's a most unusual design, similar to the Ondulations design by Luc Lanel, created for the luxury liner SS Normandie; however this is slightly different and very rarely seen; I suspect also designed by Luc Lanel.

The underside is fully marked with the Chess O/C (ORFÈVRERIE CHRISTOFLE) mark and a crown mark.

Dating to c.1940, it remains in excellent condition measuring 9 1/2" tall x 4" in diameter; an impressive, large example.
