A good quality late 19thC. fiddle back mahogany free standing twin pedestal desk of the more popular size (5ft X 2ft 6ins.). The rectangular top having a moulded edge with an inset replaced hand dyed and gilt tooled leather writing surface. This desk features 9 graduated and moulded edge drawers with brass swan neck handles, working brass locks, mahogany linings and dovetailed joints. The sides all have solid mahogany fielded panels and the stiles with reeded detail, the whole raised on plinth bases with brass casters. Condition - Very good. Dimensions:- Height…30.25’’/ 77cm.
