Victorian Silver Mounted Dual Colour Glass Decanter by William Hutton & Sons, Birmingham 1899

Description

This elegant silver and clear glass mallet shaped decanter was made by the renowned William Hutton & Sons and is dated Birmingham 1899. The panelled glass body applied with green glass handles. The neck with an exquisite pierced silver mount and pinched flared rim.

Original hollow clear glass stopper.

Hallmarks:

Makers marks partially rubbed but identifiable

WH&S for William Hutton & Sons.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "z" for 1899.

Dimensions:

Height: 31cm - 8 inches.

Maximum diameter: 10cm / 4 inches.

Condition:

Very good.

Glass in very good condition.

No damage to inner neck or stopper.

Silver neck in excellent condition.
