Fine pair of early 19th.c. French Empire mahogany open armchairs c.1820. Solid mahogany frames, well figured cresting rails with a moulded top, long scrolling arms with Egyptian inspired papyrus carved detail. Upholstered backrest and webbed seat in a Regency stripe chenille fabric. Curved front edge and raised on shaped front legs also carved with papyrus leaves. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops with with clean covers.
