Description

A charming and very decorative life size Black Forest carved Linden wood model of a long haired toy dog. Standing on his hind legs in a begging position and holding the brass stick holder which is in the form of a whip with a whistle to one end. The dog has a beautifully carved face with realistic glass eyes. The rectangular shaped base with tin drip tray and the whole raised on 6 turned feet. Probably from Brienz in Switzerland. Circa 1890. Dimensions:- Height…31’’/ 79cm. Width…14.5’’/ 37cm. Depth…13’’/ 33cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £45.
