An Irish Regency pale rosewood console table standing on finely carved feet below a concave platform shelf, on which stands S scroll front supports with nicely detailed carving and brass inlay, below a top with brass gallery and centre carved panel. The superstructure has two shelves with S scroll supports to match those in the base with ormolu side pillars and the top shelf is finished with a brass gallery .A good practical piece of furniture that has a centre bottom simulated rosewood panel that could easily be changed for a mirror or silk fabric panel. Possibly by Gillington of Abbey Street ,Dublin . Circa 1820. in good original condition throughout with crisp carving and fine brass inlay. The height of the base is 92cm.
